Avaya IP Office telephone system is an intelligent communications solution specially designed to meet the communications challenges facing small and midsized businesses. Avaya IP Office Intelligent Communications for small and midsized businesses addresses basic telephony needs. Avaya IP Office leverages built-in convergence capabilities, and capitalizes on the robust unified applications to deliver intelligence to users and customers. Avaya IP Office provides solutions that simplify processes, streamline information exchange within systems to create simple and prosperous experiences for all.

TheAvaya IP Office platform comprises 4 models: Avaya IP Office - Small Office Edition, Avaya IP Office IP406, Avaya IP Office IP412, and Avaya IP Office 500 system. The Avaya IP Office IP406, Avaya IP Office IP412, and Avaya IP Office 500 systems can have expansion modules added to them to match the requirements of a growing business.

Avaya IP Office delivers full voice functionality with a comprehensive set of features. The Avaya IP Office system can be configured as a voice-only PBX using traditional circuit-switched lines or as an IP telephony server using high-speed ISDN/PRI dial-up access and/or direct leased line connectivity and/or SIP trunks.

The Avaya IP Office - Small Office Edition supports a maximum of 28 telephones; the Avaya IP Office IP406 supports a maximum of 190 telephones; the Avaya IP Office IP412 supports a maximum of 360 telephones; the Avaya IP Office 500 system supports 270 telephones.

Avaya IP Office - Small Office Edition
The Avaya IP Office - Small Office Edition is a compact platform specifically designed to meet the needs of very small businesses and home offices. In a single unit, it can provide a PABX with Auto Attendant and Voicemail, Broadband Access, Wireless Access Point (WiFi) and VPN tunneling. Voice Compression is included as standard to support IP Extensions or provide IP Trunks back to a head office.

Based upon architecture of the Avaya IP Office Small Office Edition, the unit supports 4 analog telephones, 8 digital telephones, and up to 16 IP telephones. Optionally, the unit also supports a T1/PRI and SIP trunks. There are two units to choose from:
4 Analog trunks, 4 analog extensions, 8 digital stations and 3 VoIP resources
4 Analog trunks, 4 analog extensions, 8 digital stations and 16 VoIP resources

Avaya IP Office IP406
Avaya IP Office 406 Supports 6 Expansion Modules providing a combination of up to 190 analog and digital telephones (of the 190, up to 180 telephones can be IP), with capacity for 8 analog trunks or 3 digital trunks (72 T1/PRI channels and 90 E1 channels). Additional analog trunks can be provisioned using the Avaya IP Office IP400 Analog Trunk 16 module. Additionally, SIP trunks are supported. Features include an 8 port Layer 2 switch and an optional 30 channel voice compression module.

Avaya IP Office IP412 Office
Avaya IP Office 412 Supports 12 Expansion Modules providing a combination of up to 360 analog, digital, and IP telephones, with capacity for 8 analog trunks or 4 digital trunks (96 T1/PRI channels or 120 E1 channels). Optionally, SIP trunks are also supported. Additional analog trunks can be provisioned using the IP400 Analog Trunk 16 module. Features include 2 independently switched LAN ports and optional support for up to 60 voice compression channels.

Avaya IP Office 500
Avaya IP Office 500 Included with IP Office R4.2, Standard Edition, the IP Office 500 system supports up to 32 telephones, with capacity for 16 analog trunks or 4 digital trunks (96 T1/PRI or 120 E1). Optionally, SIP trunks are also supported. Avaya IP Office 500 Professional Edition software, the IP Office 500 system supports 8 expansion modules providing for a combination of 270 analog, digital, and IP extensions. Additional analog trunks can be provisioned using the IP400 Analog Trunk 16 module.

The Avaya IP Office system includes a robust set of tools for administration (Manager), call tracking (SMDR), system monitoring and diagnostics (System Status Application), to name a few. Additionally, the ability for users to manage their own calls is supplied through a simple GUI (Phone Manager). Phone Manager functionality can also be enhanced through simple licensing and to support IP softphones.
