Avaya 5602SW IP Telephone sSimplified wiring with a Single 10/100BASE-T Ethernet LAN Connection
An Ethernet connection built into each phone enables users to connect a desktop computer to their LAN by plugging it directly into the phone, without needing a separate computer connection in the wall.

Avaya 5602SW IP Telephone helps reduce wiring and installation costs. The wiring can be further simplified by using the available 802.3af-based Power over Ethernet capability to deliver power to the phone over the LAN, rather than using a wall plug.

Industry-standard Protocol Support
Avaya 5602SW IP Telephones operate with industry-standard protocols and advanced software, including the H.323 protocols for voice communication over an Internet Protocol network, G.711 and G.729A/B voice coders and a variety of Quality of Service capabilities. Those include UDP Port selection at Layer 4, Diffserv priority numbering at Layer 3, and 802.1p/q at Layer 2. Avaya IP telephones also support the 802.3af Power over Ethernet standard.

Avaya 5602SW IP Telephone delivers high-quality features based upon industry standards, rather than proprietary solutions, for better interoperability.

Simplified Software Provisioning
End users can access IP Telephone software upgrades and enhancements on the Avaya Support Web site. For example, new H.323 firmware for the Avaya 5602SW can be downloaded from the Avaya support site to a TFTP server for enterprise-wide provisioning.
